Weapon Concepts - Game Art

This is my latest concept work, done for our Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk project: a gun that activates itself when held by its owner. You can see more of the Studio’s work here: https://goo.gl/wTR7ig

Sci-Fi City Alley Walkthrough

In this illustration I tried to reproduce a scene of everyday life in a sci-fi city. There’s not much going on, just people (and aliens) coming and going, shops open, the police patrolling the streets and so on.
Through the elements I used, I wanted to hold on to the the idea of a contemporary city, but one that also has a futuristic feel. That’s why I used images of contemporary cities that are already somewhat closer to that future feeling as reference. At some point I felt that a splash of color is needed in this composition and tried to introduce vegetation, but I did not like the way it looked. So while I was playing with the filters, I got the idea of making those holographic red trees which contribute even more to the sci-fi city concept.
As a working technique I used a collage of pictures over which I started to draw (which is known as matte painting).

Motorcycle concepts exploration

This is one concept I played with a lot and that gave me some trouble. I wanted to make something modern, inspired by old school choppers. So I had to do a lot of research and make a lot of decisions on what works and what doesn’t. Mostly because the art world is pretty much filled with similar concepts and I wanted to come up with something ‘different’, something that bears a resemblance to the others, but is still unique.
The main decision I made was give the motorcycle a long, aggressive look. That is what makes it look like a chopper and it gives it the old school feel.

You can see the concepts below and let me know which one is your favorite!
