3D Villain concepts

These are the first steps in the creation of the villain in our sci-fi art scene. I’m creating a half alien, half humanoid character that is both ruthless and slick. We’ve imagined him being of noble descent, so I want to translate that through his stature and appearance.

I usually start from the head in my workflow, because it’s fairly easy to create a body afterwards. And it also gives me a good level of freedom by not having to think of the whole character from the very beginning.
